From the tourist’s point of view: The Riviera is bathed in the blue of the sky and sea, (Saint-Tropez, Cassis, Bormes Mimosas, Saint Raphael), the Inland features its perched villages, the Verdon Canyon, the Ventoux mount, the Alpilles, The Camargue ( Arles, the Baux de Provence, the Saintes Maries de la Mer), The Luberon with its fields of lavenders, and architectural splendour of Avignon.
From the historical and cultural point of view: man has come from far away to appreciate the Provence, Peter Mayle related with humour, or Van Gogh or Renoir imagined, or the one from Cézanne, Mistral, Zola, Daudet, Pagnol, or Giono painted. 
It is the country of the white horses and the black bulls, of olives and lavender, and the sights of the beautiful ochre cliffs of the Roussillon and white rocks of the Alpilles, of the old villages with their curved tiles and their abundant fountains, of the good restaurants and charming hosts, of the pernod with the aroma of anise taken on the terraces with coffees, and of the markets filled with all the scents of the Provence fields, orchards and kitchen gardens. Just soak it up and enjoy the life here. Laze under a blue sky with the songs of cicadas resonating – come and enjoy the Provence life.
