Le Thoronet Abbey is a “chef d’oeuvre” of Roman Provencal Art.

The village is typical, with its 13 hamlets. On the river you can ride canoe or kayak, a nice ride exists from Carces to Le Thoronet, or, for the courageous ones, all the way to the Mediterranean Sea.
Correns is a pretty village built on the banks of the river Argens, which rushes out of the Gorges du Vallon Sourn (well known for climbing) straight into the village.

Brignoles, on the river Caramy is the capital of Centre Var.
In the old town, you can discover the palace of the counts of Provence, which has been built in the twelfth century. You can see there find a museum with a sarcophagus of the 3rd century and Christian altars of 4th and 5th century, and also ramparts, squares and ancient stone built houses with old doors.
The Saturday Provencal market is one of the biggest of the area.
