Brignoles, on the river Caramy is the capital of Centre Var.

In the old town, you can discover the palace of the counts of Provence, which has been built in the twelfth century. You can see there find a museum with a sarcophagus of the 3rd century and Christian altars of 4th and 5th century, and also ramparts, squares and ancient stone built houses with old doors.

The Saturday Provencal market is one of the biggest of the area.
