Valensole means "the valley of sun". Valensole is well known for its location among a magnificent plateau of lavender and almond trees, where the fresh air is pure and fragrant.

You must not miss it in the summer when the lavenders disperse the aromas through the air and when the landscape, as far as the eye can see, is a hue of that special blue colour. Even in the spring all the almond trees are in bloom and are a magnificent sight!
